Biography
I'm Janet Gillis, REALTOR® and Broker/Owner of Town & Country Realty Massachusetts — and real estate is far more than a career for me. It's a calling rooted in community, relationships, and a deep love for the place I've called home my entire life.
I grew up in Hull, Massachusetts, and have lived in Marshfield for 22 years — where I raised my two sons, Liam and David, and built the kind of local knowledge that only comes from truly living here decade after decade. I'm a lifelong Massachusetts resident who knows these towns not just as markets, but as communities where real families build real lives.
Before real estate, I owned and operated Java Jungle, a beloved coffee shop in Hull, for 16 years. Running a small business taught me everything about hard work, customer relationships, and showing up for people — lessons I bring to every transaction I'm part of.
I hold the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) designation, reflecting my specialized training and commitment to representing buyers with skill, honesty, and undivided loyalty. I serve buyers and sellers throughout Plymouth County and Norfolk County, including Marshfield, Duxbury, Plymouth, Kingston, Scituate, Hull, Quincy, Weymouth, Norwell, Hanover, Abington, and surrounding South Shore communities.
When I'm not working, you'll find me on the pickleball court, the golf course, or the ski slopes — or spending time with my rescue dog Bodhi. I'm a passionate animal lover who donates to horse sanctuaries and animal rescues throughout the area, and I've volunteered with New England Wildlife in Weymouth and Friends of the Paragon Carousel in Hull. I'm also a proud member of Kiwanis International.
